Laura and Tim Danbrea

Owners

Hi, I’m Laura and I started my childcare journey over 30 years ago as a way to stay home with my own children.

All About Kids is what that in-home childcare center grew into. I am now behind the scenes at AAK. I come in to visit once in awhile, so you may see me around!

Tim is my husband of 39 years, but around here he is affectionately known as “Papa Tim” our maintenance man. He comes in after hours to fix our little odds and ends.

My favorite color is blue, and I enjoy hobbies like reading, camping, traveling, and going on cruises. I love a good iced coffee, tacos are my go-to meal, and Snicker bars are my favorite treat.

One Bible verse that inspires me daily is Proverbs 3:5 —

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding”

Danielle Meyer

Director and School-Age Teacher

Hi, I’m Danielle! I’ve been part of the All About Kids family for 18 years and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I love being a teacher because I enjoy watching all my students learn and experience new things every day.

A few fun facts about me — I love the color purple! When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll often find me baking, feeding my sourdough starter “Lucy”, or enjoying a cup of coffee. I’m a big fan of homemade Mexican food. I love all things chocolate, but dark chocolate is my favorite!

My favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, “Always be joyful, never stop praying, and be thankful in all circumstances.

Jenny Austwick

Assistant Director/ PreK Teacher

Hi, I’m Jenny! I’ve been with All About Kids for four years and have spent over 25 years working in childcare. Throughout the years, I’ve loved getting to know so many wonderful children and families—it’s been a true blessing.

My favorite color is blue, and I love crocus flowers. In my free time, you’ll find me baking, cooking, or sipping on a glass of iced tea. I enjoy all kinds of food (especially my own cooking!), and dark chocolate is my favorite sweet treat. I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.

My favorite Bible Verse is “Create in me a pure heart. O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me” Psalm 51:10

Renae Gross

Lead/Floater Teacher

Hi, I’m Renae! I’ve been with All About Kids for 12 years and have over 30 years of experience in child care. I find this work incredibly rewarding—helping children grow, learn, and feel supported each day is one of the greatest joys of my life.

My favorite color is hot pink, and I love carnations. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll probably find me out thrifting and discovering hidden treasures. I enjoy sipping on a Cherry Coke, and Chinese food is my favorite treat. I also have a soft spot for Dove chocolate!

One Bible verse that inspires me is Philippians 4:13 —

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Hailey Dial

Infant and Toddler Teacher

Hi, I’m Hailey! I’ve been with All About Kids for three years and have been working in childcare for just as long. One of the things I love most about being a childcare teacher is helping kids reach different milestones and celebrating each step of their growth.

My favorite colors are purple and black, and I especially love roses and bleeding heart flowers. In my free time, I enjoy baking and reading, usually with a cup of coffee in hand. Ribs or any kind of meat are my go-to meals, and I’m always happy with anything chocolate.

A Bible verse that’s especially meaningful to me is Romans 8:18, which reminds us that our present struggles are nothing compared to the glory to come.

Becky Johansen

Infant and Toddler Teacher

Hi, I’m Becky! I’ve been part of the All About Kids family for three years and have been working in childcare for over 20 years. I love being a childcare teacher because it’s such a joy to watch the kids grow and learn every day.

My favorite colors are black and teal, and I have a soft spot for sunflowers. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling and relaxing with a good cup of coffee. Pizza is my favorite food, and I’m happy with just about any kind of candy! I’m passionate about creating a fun, caring space where children feel supported and excited to discover the world around them.

Monique Rothe

Preschool Teacher

Hi, I’m Monique! I was recently hired at All About Kids, but have been in childcare for 10 years. I absolutely love watching the children develop little personalities and reach their social, emotional, and developmental milestones. It brings me so much joy to be part of their journey!

My favorite colors are red and black, and while I don’t have a favorite flower, I love them all. In my free time, I enjoy walking, listening to music, and playing with my cats. Coffee keeps me going, and I have a big love for Puerto Rican food. When it comes to candy, anything fruit-flavored is my go-to!

Hi, I’m Courtney! I was recently hired at All About Kids, but have been teaching for over five years.

I graduated from UW- Whitewater with a Education degree. I recently moved back to Waterford from Fargo, ND with my husband and my son, Patrick.

In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, playing with my dogs, or kicking around a soccer ball. I also have an obsession with ice cream! I am also a HUGE sports fan, but you won’t find me cheering for any Wisconsin teams.
